Commercial Manager Opportunity Central London

Mivan is a dynamic and progressive specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with a reputation for excellence and innovation. We are currently looking for an experienced and driven Commercial Manager to Manage the project budget in order to attain commercial targets & provide commercial support to the Project Manager.


Candidates should have extensive experience on new build and fit-out type projects and a Third Level Quantity Surveying qualification or construction related discipline. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute with strong leadership and people management skills and the ability to negotiate and influence.


Main duties will include:


Responsible for the management, training and development of the projects commercial resources Preparation & management of the project budget Procurement of subcontractors and agreement of subcontract conditions Commercial control of subcontract packages Value and agree the cost of any variations Prepare cost, value and reconciliation monthly reports on each assigned project With regards to estimate build up costs for each element of the work, identify labour, material requirements and source and obtain quotations where applicable. Liaise with purchasing / buying for specialist providers Attend internal hand-over meetings Assistance to the Estimating team on ongoing tenders from a commercial perspective Provide feedback information to Business Development regarding tender values vs. actual costs Maintain working relationships with the client and project team Providing contractual advice to the Project Manager Undertake any other duties and projects allocated, which are within the individuals sphere of Knowledge, experience or competency
