We are now looking for a proactive and experienced

Commercial Manager

to oversee the financial and contractual aspects of our projects. This is a key leadership role within the business, ensuring profitability, effective risk management, and strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee the commercial management of all projects from tender to final account. Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favourable terms and compliance with company objectives. Manage cost planning, forecasting, and budgeting to ensure projects are delivered on target. Monitor project financial performance, including valuations, variations, and cash flow. Provide accurate commercial reporting and advice to senior management. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, industry regulations, and health & safety standards. Support the estimating team with tender submissions and contract reviews. Manage and mentor junior commercial staff where applicable. Identify risks and opportunities, implementing strategies to protect and enhance business profitability.

Qualifications



Degree (or equivalent experience) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commercial Management, or a related field. Proven experience in a commercial management role within construction, HVAC, or M&E services. Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g. JCT, NEC) and commercial best practice. Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills. Strong financial and analytical abilities with a focus on cost control and profitability. Ability to work collaboratively with project and operational teams. Highly organised with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
