What you\'ll do

The Commercial Manager is responsible for managing and optimising Vodafone UK\'s commercial relationship with 3rd party Operators and Vodafone Roaming Services (VRS) for Interconnect, Messaging and Roaming services. The role holder will also support the Senior Carrier Services Manager in delivering the commercial strategy and DB for Strategy & Wholesale. Key accountabilities include:

  • Responsibility for commercial management of Vodafone P2P (person to person) Messaging services, progressing Vodafone UK\'s P2P Strategy
  • Work with Vodafone Group, external SMS Hubs and internal technical teams to optimise the performance of P2P SMS
  • Manage Interconnect, Messaging, Roaming and Visitor services for Vodafone UK
  • Identify and progress potential revenue, cost saving and least cost routing opportunities for Interconnect & Roaming
  • Provide commercial support for Roaming services, managing, and tracking Vodafone UK\'s Inbound and Outbound Roaming performance vs. DB targets and its Commitment deals with Roaming operators
  • Support the Senior Carrier Services in driving wholesale strategy, and the preparation of briefings and business cases
  • Ensure that Vodafone UK remains compliant with relevant regulation for Roaming and Interconnect, working with internal stakeholders as appropriate
Who you are
  • A commercial management with telecommunications experience is highly desirable
  • Numerate with strong excel and analytical skills. Experience of data analysis, modelling, and forecasting
  • Good commercial acumen with negotiation experience
  • Strong communications skills, capable of relaying information in a concise and logical manner
  • Comfortable engaging and collaborating with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders
  • Growth mindset, flexible and open to taking on new challenges and identifying and implementing business improvement activities
  • Team player, willing to learn as well as share experience and focused upon delivering the right outcomes for Vodafone and its Partners
