About the Role
We are looking for a Commercial Manager with the drive, energy and commercial instinct to play a key role in Zippe's next stage of growth.
This is a pivotal role, responsible for leading our commercial activities, securing new contracts, managing tenders and bids, and building long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders. You'll be part of a leadership team shaping strategy and ensuring the business is positioned for profitable and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities include:
Driving new business opportunities, including tenders, frameworks and direct contracts
Building and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities, schools, businesses and partners
Leading the end-to-end bid and tender process, from pricing and compliance to presentation and negotiation
Working closely with different department managers to align service delivery with commercial commitments
Monitoring contract performance and identifying opportunities to improve margin, efficiency and value
Supporting the development of new products, services and markets to expand Zippe's reach.
About you
We're looking for someone who combines commercial acumen with real drive and ambition.
You'll bring:
Experience in a commercial, contracts or business development role - ideally in transport, logistics, public services or a regulated sector
Strong bid and tender experience, with a track record of winning and managing contracts
Excellent relationship management skills, confident working with both private and public-sector clients
A keen eye for profitability, pricing and margin control
The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
A collaborative mindset - someone who thrives in a growing, fast-paced business.
