Role Overview




Ethical Power (GTDS) is seeking a Commercial Manager to join our growing team. As the UK's only vertically integrated renewables company, we pride ourselves on delivering excellence and are looking for a leader to ensure our commercial success. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of commercial management, from contract negotiation and risk assessment to financial reporting and team leadership.


What will you be doing?



Commercial Leadership:

Manage a team of Quantity Surveyors and lead commercial activities, ensuring all projects align with our business goals.

Strategic Planning:

Maintain the business cashflow forecast, contribute to new business bids, and review and develop commercial processes.

Contract Management:

Lead negotiations for main and subcontracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions with our supply chain.

Financial Oversight:

Oversee project finances, including cashflow, PO approvals, and variations, while providing detailed reports to the senior management team.

What are we looking for?





A strong understanding of business finances, including P&L and Balance Sheets, with expertise in budget and cashflow management. Exceptional communication and management skills with a professional demeanor. You should be highly organized, self-motivated, and adept at problem-solving. A degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is desirable. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Commercial Manager for grid connections or a proven track record of working with clients and key stakeholders on major projects.
