Role Purpose



Responsible for the Commercial activities and support for Glacier Energy Manufacturing (GEM) and maintaining a commercial focus and control across the operations team. Working with the General Manager, Operations Director and Business Development Director to achieve the Manufacturing business goals and financial targets.

Accountability



Implementing commercial governance and tools to support the operational activity in Manufacturing. Managing the Approved Vendors List for Customers & Suppliers, working with operations and project teams to ensure this is maintained. Bid support with Business Development, providing contractual and estimating support. Responsible for reviewing Terms and Conditions, as per the Delegation Of Authority. Responsible for the Estimating Processes and team, supporting the Bid Process commercially to delivery. Conducting Risk Reviews. Responsible for the Procurement Processes and team within Manufacturing, ensuring appropriate governance is in place. Identify process improvement opportunities within operations for cost control and commercial governance. Mentor and upskill staff in both cost and commercial management. Ensure that working practices and processes are fit for purpose and support the business operations.

Requirements:

Experience



Degree / technical certification / experience in a relevant subject or acceptable relevant experience Proven manufacturing experience within the energy industry Able to demonstrate working to deadlines Leadership skills Strong financial and business acumen Able to demonstrate sound knowledge of improving efficiency, effectiveness of manpower and commercial processes IT literate with specific experience using Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint programs Willingness to travel
