Job Description

Purpose





As a Commercial Operations Analyst within London CIV's Commercial Team, you will play a central role in supporting the delivery of the Fit for the Future (FFF) implementation programme. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you'll help enhance the team's advisory capabilities, supporting Partner Fund asset transitions, and contribute to strengthening relationships with Partner Funds.



This is a hands-on role requiring strong analytical capability and excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You'll work closely with Solutions Managers and internal teams to support a broad range of activities, workstreams and reporting.





Key Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing




Programme Delivery & Service Development




Support the design, development and rollout of new services under the FFF programme, including Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA), LGPS PASS, and pensions officer support.


Asset Transition Support




Provide analytical and project coordination support across asset transition activities, including managing workflows of Investment Management Agreements (IMAs), monitoring deliverables, timelines and risks.


Partner Fund Reporting & Advisory Support




Prepare briefing materials, reports and research to further strengthen the team's advisory capabilities and support Partner Fund reporting requirements.


Client Relationship Model




Work with Solutions Managers to refine and develop the client relationship model, focusing on data gathering, internal reporting and Partner Fund insights.


Committee & Meeting Preparation




Coordinate and prepare committee and meeting packs for Solutions Manager meetings, gathering data from investment, Responsible Investment (RI) and CRM teams. Draft high quality briefing papers for use by the Chief Commercial Officer.


Cross-Team Collaboration




Engage proactively with internal teams (investment, operations, compliance, RI, CRMs) to ensure seamless delivery and coordination of commercial projects and services.


Information Management




Develop and maintain a centralised bank of key commercial information for reuse across services and reporting.


Operational Support




Assist with subscription and redemption processes, including collecting and organising and preparing relevant documentation from Partner Funds.


Process Improvement




Contribute to documentation, scalable service models and enhancements to operational efficiency across the Commercial Team.


Ad-Hoc Analysis




Support with scenario modelling, data analysis and preparation of client-facing materials as required.

What You'll Bring

Essential




Strong analytical skills with experience handling complex financial, operational or investment data


Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines


Experience in professional services, consultancy, financial services or pensions


Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)


Collaborative attitude with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across teams.


Desirable




Experience working with public sector clients or pension schemes


Familiarity with Investment Management Agreements and transition planning


Experience preparing committee papers, meeting packs or briefing materials


Understanding of LGPS structures and reporting requirements
