What\'s it all about?

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VC&A) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa\'s network clients, including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, Visa Consulting and Analytics solves the most strategic problems for our clients.

The Commercial Payments Practice provides consulting and solutions for VC&A Europe teams, working with Visa\'s issuers, acquirers, and merchants. The practice covers payments needs of small - medium businesses and corporate clients. We apply our deep expertise in the payments industry to provide solutions to assist clients with their key business priorities, drive growth and improve profitability.

Our team is looking for a Commercial Payments Consultant to join our strategic consulting practice and play a role in developing the Commercial payments solutions, go to market offerings as well as work on high impact projects with Visa\'s signature clients in Europe. This role will support the delivery of projects and solutions and will develop initiatives to promote sustainable and profitable growth in Commercial payments, thereby ensuring that Visa is both, the preferred brand and unique business partner.

Typical projects may include:

  • How does an issuer expand or increase market share in Commercial payments market?
  • How should a card issuer use emerging technology to acquire the best customers?
  • How does an issuer expand their card portfolio while mitigating credit risk?
  • How does an issuer optimise their revenues?
  • How do we enable increase in spend in specific segments?
  • How should we address the needs of issuer\'s clients, i.e., Businesses?
What we expect of you, day to day:
  • Be part of the team creating new solutions for Commercial payments, delivering consulting initiatives and contributing to identifying potential opportunities with large banks/financial institutions
  • Identify solutions and actionable insights that will help clients to grow their portfolios
  • Support strategic client pitches and shape VC&A Europe commercial offers for key clients
  • Support the establishment of best in class Commercial and SME Business capabilities across the B2C and B2B landscape in Europe, and work with digital solutions team and data science to continuously enhance and update the list of best-in-class capabilities and cutting-edge solutions for Visa\'s traditional partners
  • Support the development of the Practice areas and implement the creation of assets to build the VC&A Commercial payments practice and scale new market offerings that support Visa\'s Growth Strategy
  • Partner with peers in other functional areas (e.g., sales and solutions, data science, marketing, sales, risk, innovation, products)
  • Focus on bringing our Visa Business Solutions product propositions to life for our clients and support proposition development/flagship project work on solutions
  • Work with European VC&A teams to execute projects in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of Visa\'s resources, acting as Visa\'s \'Subject Matter Expert\' in Commercial and Business Banking
  • Produce thought leadership, insights, and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for client priorities across the verticals and segments
  • Contribute to qualitative and quantitative market research to validate trends and competitive opportunities for specific new market offerings and assets for VC&A Europe
  • Support client workshops and co-creation sessions with multi-disciplinary client and Visa teams on key topics
  • Support VC&A Commercial and Business banking lead in discussions with other regions, and external vendors and stakeholders
  • Foster an environment of innovation and customer centricity, institutionalising agile innovation practices and a customer insight to action culture
  • Support the establishment of a community of practice around Commercial and Business Banking by mentoring regional consultants and helping them build cross-functional understanding across Visa
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

What we\'re after\xe2\x80\xa6
  • Previous experience at a large management consulting firm or similar role at Banks/FIs, with proven project deliveries and expertise in consulting methodologies
  • Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance with a focus on impacting ROI and excellent analytical skills, with the ability to use data to convey a clear message to clients and the business
  • Ability to solve business problems through data driven methodologies and proficiency in some leading edge analytic and business intelligence tools
  • Technology mindset, curious, up-to-date with digital trends and applications
  • Project experience in a digital and technology-driven environment
  • High intellectual capability evidenced by strong analytical skills
  • Excellent spoken and written command of English.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal) including an ability to comprehend and convey complex technical information
  • Strong Business Acumen and Business Analysis Skills (research and analyse market and client information to tell a story)
  • Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently
  • High levels of integrity and business ethics
  • Willingness to travel if required
  • Willingness to maintain professional development.
