Working within the Revenue Growth & Planning team, the Commercial Planning Intern, On Trade is heavily involved in the day to day of MHUK commercial operations and value creations, working alongside various departments & especially the sales teams, delivering accuracy in volume & revenue forecasting to report the most robust data & optimize commercial strategies & sound decision making.
Job responsibilities
Commercial planning partner for the following channel within MHUK
Direct & Indirect On-trade, RTM
Other key channels include retail, private sales, corporate, sponsorship & festivals
Commercial Planning
Assist the sales team on their planning journey
Be the first point of contact for commercial investment for creation and amendment
Support sales team to create new customers in SAP & Aspire
Assist the commercial planning partner in challenging the accuracy of the volume, price and FTT forecast (full price waterfall)
Update on a monthly basis forecast accuracy & variances PBI dashboards & share an update to key stakeholders with commentary on key evolutions
Stock & Depletion Management
Drive data collection, reporting and analysis
Process all the weekly data received from mass-retail customers, including communication to key stakeholders and BI tool management with commentary on key evolutions
Maintain the multiple sources used in Power Bi to keep accurate and up to date Off-Trade dashboards
Support the commercial planning business partner to manage the end-of-year stock landing for key mass retail customers
Tools Management
Assist the Commercial Planning Business Partner in the administration of the planning tool (Anaplan, FIP (Indirect On-trade forecast tool), Aspire & Power BI)
Reporting
Support the commercial planning partner in consolidating the data for the key commercial reports
Data Management & Analysis
Develop an expertise on our different BI tools: UK Business Planning, Qliksense, SAM
Understand the business concepts behind the data to be able to train different types of stakeholders.
Be able to understand the different roles in the company to adapt the trainings.
Develop analysis for key stakeholders of the Sales and Marketing teams.
Profile
Education
Degree level education or equivalent experience
Professional experience & know how:
Systems & data management experience in a commercial environment is a plus
P&L and value chain understanding
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to improve overall efficiency
Interest in the Wines & Spirits industry is a plus
Technical skills
Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS), VBA is a plus
Data visualization tool is a plus (Power BI, Tableau)
MS Office (Outlook, Word, Power Point)
