Role Overview

The candidate will work as part of the Minor Works Team taking on all new projects throughout Northern Ireland. They will be responsible for undertaking various jobs, working as part of a Mechanical works team and providing excellent services to our high-profile customers. Please be advised that H&J Martin may seek security clearances for this position, which will be used in the decision-making process.

What you'll do

The following reflect the main tasks associated with your position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:

To perform all tasks in a safe working manner, following statutory guidelines, company policies, Risk Assessments and Method Statements. Confidence and knowledge in carrying out Mechanical works within a Commercial/Industrial setting including Hospitals, Factories, Colleges, Schools, Public and Buildings Proactive approach to delivering projects in an efficient and effective manner, with confidence working to a program. To perform works to a high standard, showing initiative and enthusiasm. At times keeping accurate records utilizing both the company's mobile management platform and our clients' systems. To be able to work within a team environment including alongside other contractors and disciplines. High standard of housekeeping, material handling and safety at all times. To provide call out cover on a rota basis. Any other reasonable duties required depending on the needs of the business.

What you'll bring

As a Commercial Plumbing & Heating Engineer your main skills and experience will include:

Essential Criteria

NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent. Experience of working on a broad range of Commercial Mechanical Systems. A good standard with attention to detail. Excellent communications skills. Utilize and update the company Mobile Management Information Systems for all work carried out. Be able to work with your own initiative, showing a flexible and problem-solving approach. An ability to be open, honest and be able to work as part of a high performance team. High standard of housekeeping, material handling and safety at all times. Excellent customer care and interpersonal skills. Full driving license.
Desirable Criteria

Commercial Gas Safe. OFTEC qualified. HVAC experience. Hold a relevant valid CSR Card. Possess a valid, clean driving license. Plant and access equipment cards e.g., PASMA, IPAF Card.
