Commercial Property Associate - Key Responsibilities

Manage a varied caseload of commercial property matters, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, landlord and tenant work, and property finance. Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients across sectors such as retail, tech, healthcare, and investment, ensuring outstanding standards of client service. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial property contracts, lease agreements, and related legal documents. Undertake due diligence, title review, property searches, and risk assessments to facilitate seamless transactions. Develop and maintain excellent client relationships, acting as a dependable point of contact and fostering lasting professional links. Engage in business development initiatives and networking, contributing to the continued growth and profile of the commercial property team and the wider firm. Work collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines to offer joined-up, commercially focused legal solutions. Stay informed on changes in commercial property law, planning laws, and relevant regulatory developments. Ensure compliance, accurate matter management, and meticulous record keeping via case management systems.

Commercial Property Law - Essential Skills & Experience



Qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE within a commercial property department. Solid knowledge and hands-on experience of commercial property transactions, including acquisitions, sales, landlord and tenant matters, and property finance. Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and commitment to delivering pragmatic legal advice. Excellent client care and communication skills, able to explain complex legal issues clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders. Exceptional organisational and time management abilities, comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple deadlines. Resilient, results-focused, and commercially aware approach to resolving legal issues for clients. Demonstrates sound judgment, professionalism, and a collaborative team ethic. Keen interest in ongoing learning, regulatory compliance, and best practice in real estate law.
