Role overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Legal Assistant to join our Commercial Property team in Leeds. The ideal candidate will assist on a variety of transactions and contribute to the continued success of our firm. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a great team within a thriving legal practice. We are looking for someone with experience in this role.

Key responsibilities:

Open files and conduct initial due diligence. Assist the lawyers with a range of transactions. Preparing documentation such as contract packs, title and search reports under supervision. Prepare transfer and lease documents under supervision, routine correspondence and requisitions on title. Helping prepare files for exchange and completion and undertaking post completion matters, including Land Registry applications, SDLT returns and Companies House applications under supervision. Liaising with Clients, Solicitors and other professionals in person, on the phone and by email. Excellent client care skills and the ability to build good rapport. Assist with file closure. Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet targets and uphold the firm's reputation for excellence.

Required qualifications and skills:

Knowledge of Commercial Property, regulations, and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High level of attention to detail and organisational skills. Proficient in case management systems and IT tools.
