, we're growing our capabilities in the

Commercial Property

space. While we're building out the team, the work is already coming in - and we need someone we can trust to help us deliver it.

This isn't a full-time role or even regular hours. It's ideal for someone running their own small practice or working as a contractor, who's happy to support us

as and when needed

. If you like variety, flexibility, and working with a forward-thinking team, we could be a great fit for each other.

You'll support clients with transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, leases, and property management, while also helping shape the growth of Sumer Law's commercial property services.

Key Responsibilities





Drafting and negotiating commercial leases. Managing acquisitions and disposals of commercial property. Handling secured lending and property finance transactions. Assisting with the property elements of corporate transactions. Providing practical and tailored legal solutions that align with clients' commercial objectives. Collaborating closely with accountancy partners within the Sumer Group to deliver a high-quality, integrated client service. Supporting the development of the department alongside Sumer's Head of Legal.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise





A qualified and experienced commercial property solicitor with a proven track record. Expertise in managing commercial lease negotiations, property acquisitions, and financing transactions. Proven ability to build and nurture strong client relationships, identify opportunities for cross-selling services, and attract new clients to expand the commercial property portfolio. Experience working with SME clients, providing consultative and commercially aware advice. Experience in analysing market trends and identifying emerging opportunities in the commercial property sector to position the business for growth. Strong drafting, reviewing, and negotiation skills for a variety of property-related legal documents.
