The Role

You will join the Commercial Property / Real Estate team and be responsible for managing your own caseload. Key duties will include:

Handling acquisitions and disposals (freehold & leasehold) of commercial properties. Drafting, negotiating, and advising on leases (landlord/tenant) including renewals, surrenders, rent reviews. Advising on property finance, development / site purchase, possibly secured lending. Working with corporate teams on property aspects of business sales or acquisitions. Working with external stakeholders: agents, surveyors, planning authorities, etc. Maintaining strong client relationships; providing technically sound, commercially aware advice. Keeping up to date with property law developments, Land Registry, environmental or planning law where relevant.

Person Specification

Essential:

Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (with practising certificate). PQE level: typically 5-10 years (or else as specified) in commercial property / real estate law. Proven experience with freehold & leasehold transactions, landlord & tenant matters. Strong drafting, negotiation, communication skills. Ability to manage your own caseload and meet deadlines. Commercial awareness, client?focused approach.

Desirable:

Experience in property finance or development work. Experience in higher value / London / large?scale transactions. Supervisory or mentoring experience. Experience in using modern case management / legal tech systems.
