Due to continued growth in our commercial installation division, we are now looking to recruit an experienced Commercial PV Fitter to join our professional installation team. This position is ideal for someone with solid experience in commercial solar installations and who wants to develop within a stable, expanding business.

Role Overview As a Commercial PV Fitter, you will be responsible for installing commercial-scale solar PV systems safely, efficiently, and to a high professional standard. Projects may include rooftop installations on warehouses, factories, and industrial buildings, as well as ground-mounted arrays. You will work closely with our installation teams, project managers, and electricians to ensure that all installations meet industry standards and company expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Install commercial solar PV systems including panels, mounting equipment, and associated components. Work at height safely and confidently on industrial and commercial roofs. Assist with inverter installations, cable routing, DC connections, and system setup (with qualified electrical support). Carry out pre-installation site checks and ensure compliance with project specifications. Maintain excellent workmanship, quality control, and adherence to project deadlines. Follow all RAMS, site safety rules, and health and safety legislation. Provide support for maintenance and repairs when required. Represent CK Solars and Roofing Ltd professionally on all sites.

Requirements Essential:

Experience installing commercial solar PV systems. Full UK driving licence (required for the company work van). Strong competency with PV mounting systems and installation processes. Comfortable and competent working at height. Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail. Willingness to travel and stay away when required. High commitment to health and safety standards. Desirable (Not essential): ECS/CSCS card. IPAF or PASMA certification. Electrical qualifications (18th Edition, NVQ Level 3, etc.). Understanding of DC string layouts and inverter technologies.
