Job Description

Havant & Waterlooville Football Club is seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Corporate & Commercial Manager for an immediate start to lead and grow the Club's commercial partnerships, sponsorship portfolio, and matchday hospitality operations.

This is a senior, hands-on role within the Club, working closely with the Board and key operational managers to drive commercial revenue, strengthen partnerships, and enhance the Club's professional image both locally and nationally.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Partnerships & Sponsorship

- Maintain, manage, and develop existing commercial contracts and sponsorship agreements.

- Identify, target, and secure new commercial partners at local, regional, and national levels.

- Create tailored partnership proposals aligned with Club assets and growth objectives.

- Ensure all sponsor deliverables are met and relationships are proactively managed.

Business Development & Brand Growth

- Utilise strong local business knowledge while expanding the Club's national commercial footprint.

- Work closely with the Bar Manager, Ground Manager, and Media Manager to improve brand presence and commercial outputs.

- Support commercial initiatives across matchdays, events, digital platforms, and community engagement.

Matchday Hospitality & Events

- Manage and oversee matchday hospitality operations.

- Develop and deliver corporate hospitality packages and experiences.

- Act as a primary point of contact for corporate partners and guests on matchdays.

Reporting & Strategy

- Report directly to the Board of Directors with regular performance updates and commercial forecasts.

- Contribute to the Club's short- and long-term commercial strategy.

Person Specification

Essential

- Proven experience in commercial management, sponsorship, partnerships, or business development.

- Strong understanding of local business networks with the ability to build new relationships quickly.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.

- Self-motivated, professional, and comfortable working in a football or live-event environment.

Desirable

- Experience within football, sport, hospitality, or events-based sectors.

- Existing commercial or sponsorship contacts.

- Understanding of media-led commercial opportunities.
