About the Role

We are looking for an experienced

Commercial Account Manager

to take responsibility for managing key commercial accounts and driving new business development. You will be the main point of contact for our commercial clients, ensuring their projects run smoothly while identifying opportunities to expand relationships and win new work.

This is not an entry-level role. We are seeking someone with proven account management and business development experience, ideally within B2B technical solutions, energy, construction, or a related sector. You'll need to be commercially astute, confident with senior decision-makers, and able to balance relationship management with sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow relationships with key commercial accounts, acting as the primary client contact Develop new business opportunities with commercial clients, from initial enquiry through to signed contract Prepare and present proposals for solar PV and battery storage projects, supported by our in-house technical team Collaborate closely with engineers and designers to ensure proposals are technically robust and commercially viable Oversee client projects through the sales cycle, ensuring a seamless handover to operations Monitor market trends and contribute to the company's commercial growth strategy Deliver against agreed sales and account management targets
Who We're Looking For

Proven experience in account management and business development in a B2B environment Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to identify opportunities and close deals Confident engaging with business owners, senior managers, and other key stakeholders Organised and proactive, able to manage multiple accounts and opportunities simultaneously Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal Experience in the energy, renewables, or construction sector is advantageous but not essential Full UK driving licence required
Pay and Progression

Basic salary: 35,000 per year Commission: heavily performance based, with no cap Expected OTE: 65,000-75,000 per year for average performers Top performers have potential to earn significantly more Clear opportunities for progression as the company grows
