Associate, Commercial Contracts (2-6 PQE)

Birmingham, Hybrid Working

68,000-80,000 plus bonus

A leading international law firm is seeking a Commercial Contracts Associate to join its Birmingham team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with 2-6 PQE who wants high-quality work, strong career progression and the support of a well-established commercial practice.

About the Role

You will work on a broad range of commercial matters for major private and public sector clients across transport, utilities, industrial engineering and related sectors. The role offers a varied mix of long-term strategic projects and day-to-day commercial agreements.

Key responsibilities include:

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts Advising on commercial issues arising in cross-practice transactions Working directly with partners across UK and international offices Contributing to client briefings, thought leadership and business development

What We're Looking For

We welcome applications from Associates with 2-6 PQE who can demonstrate:

Strong drafting and technical contract law skills The ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines A clear, confident communication style with a focus on client service Willingness to collaborate across teams and build client relationships Commercial awareness and the ability to analyse risk effectively
Experience supporting junior team members is beneficial, though not essential.
