The Role
As a Commercial Specialist, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will have the opportunity to work on key national projects such as the Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C power stations and support exciting alternative nuclear technologies projects including Small Modular Reactors (SMR) and Advanced Modular Reactors (AMR) working closely with key suppliers.
Day-to-day, you will be responsible for providing commercial support to the clean energy business, involving management of commercial and contractual aspects with customers, and ensuring compliance within internal corporate governance and approvals, all of which are integral towards driving commercial performance of various contracts tied to numerous exciting projects across the business.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week with occasional travel to Bristol or Warrington, alongside home working arrangements.
Essential Experience of the Commercial Specialist:
Proven track record of assisting with the delivery of robust commercial management on contracts and bids
Commercial management of large-scale projects
Experience in providing commercial specialist input into bids and contracts
Demonstrable evidence of developing and sustaining positive working relationships, including the ability to negotiate commercial terms
Ability to make decisions within delegated authority and prioritise workload using own initiative and as part of a team.
An innovative and flexible approach
Working knowledge of NEC contracts is highly desirable
Qualifications for the Commercial Specialist:
Preferably educated to degree level ideally a Law degree (e.g. LLB, LLM, etc.) or similar qualification, or equivalent level of relevant experience
Any relevant Commercial qualification (e.g. IAMCC, WCC, etc.) or similar qualification, or equivalent level of relevant experience
Security Clearance
