Role Overview



We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pricing Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding, with a focus on both in-gauge and project pricing. This role is crucial for ensuring competitive and profitable pricing strategies that align with our business objectives.



Key Responsibilities:




Develop and maintain pricing models for all in-gauge and project shipments, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in the market. Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitor pricing to inform pricing strategies. Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to gather data and insights that impact pricing decisions. Prepare and present pricing proposals to clients, ensuring clarity and alignment with their needs. Monitor and evaluate the performance of pricing strategies, making adjustments as necessary to optimize profitability. Maintain comprehensive pricing databases and documentation to ensure compliance and facilitate reporting. Assist in the development of pricing policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Provide training and support to sales teams on pricing strategies and tools. Ensures that all interactions are compliant with DPDHL Code of Conduct and other compliance requirements e.g. anti-corruption Contribute to the First Choice continuous improvement program


Skills and Experience:



Minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing, preferably within the freight forwarding or logistics industry. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Proficiency in pricing software and tools, along with Excel skills. Knowledge of international shipping regulations and market dynamics.

HOURS/SHIFT PATTERN:

37.5 hours per week (Mon - Fri)

Due to the nature of our business we are regulated by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority), therefore it is compulsory for all applicants once offered employment to provide a full 5 year employment history. Additional to this we are required to carry out a Criminal Record Check.
