The Midlands Farm Trading team, based in Witham St Hughs are looking for somebody to take on the role of Commercial Support Assistant/Trainee Farm Trader to join us on a permanent full-time basis.

The successful candidate will provide administrative and commercial/customer support to the Commercial team (Midlands Farm Traders). Our Farm Traders play a key role in facilitating our business by promoting Frontier\'s services and products and building outstanding customer relationships.

This is the ideal opportunity for candidates with the ability, skills and desire to develop a career in a commercial sales role. A background in sales is not essential as we are looking for people with an interest in agriculture, coupled with strong commercial ambition.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office

  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Previous success in dealing with farmers desirable but not essential
  • Ability to build outstanding professional relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • A high level of initiative with strong planning and organisational skills
  • High standard of numeracy and literacy and good attention to detail
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Excel
The role - Key responsibilities
  • To be an ambassador for Customer Support.
  • Supporting the Commercial team in all aspects of administration to include contracts and managing customer issues.
  • Responsibility for organising and arranging team meetings
  • Involved in developing external relationships with customers.
  • Responsible for producing and coordinating reports for Commercial team locally.
  • Offer a high standard of service to internal and external customers.
  • Supporting in promoting, managing and developing Frontier\'s business, products and services
  • Supporting Farm Traders in buying Grain, Oilseeds and Pulses from Farmer customers both established and new.
  • Supporting Farm Traders in selling seed, fertilisers and other inputs and services to farmer customers and developing new sales opportunities.
  • Establishing a network of colleagues from within the business and across relevant departments to support your work and the needs of the Midlands customers.
