At WJ we are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Technician to join our team in Wellington, Somerset. As a Commercial Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of commercial equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on commercial equipment, including HVAC systems, electrical installations, and mechanical components
Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions using technical expertise and appropriate diagnostic tools
Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to carry out installations and repairs accurately
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and energy efficiency standards
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities
Collaborate with other technicians and departments to resolve complex technical issues
Provide technical support and guidance to clients and team members as needed
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices
Respond to emergency call-outs and perform on-site repairs when required
Qualifications
Vocational or technical diploma in a relevant field such as HVAC, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
Experience in commercial equipment maintenance and repair
Proficiency in using various diagnostic tools and interpreting technical manuals and schematics
Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and analytical approach
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and energy efficiency standards in the commercial sector
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., F-Gas certification) are highly desirable
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the local area
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions
Flexibility to work outside normal business hours when required
