The Role:

We are seeking a motivated and physically capable Commercial Laundry Operative to assist with the daily processing of laundry. This hands-on role involves operating industrial washing machines and an iron roller to ensure the efficient and high-quality cleaning and finishing of various items, primarily sheets and duvets.

Key Responsibilities:

Loading and unloading industrial washing machines with various laundry items.
Operating industrial washing machines according to established procedures and ensuring correct settings for different fabric types.
Transferring washed items to dryers or other processing areas.
Operating an industrial iron roller to iron sheets, duvet covers, and other flatwork to a high standard.
Feeding items correctly into the iron roller to ensure smooth operation and wrinkle-free results.
Inspecting finished items for quality, ensuring they are clean, pressed, and free from damage.
Folding and stacking finished laundry items neatly and efficiently.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including the washing machines and ironing station.
Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Reporting any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
Assisting with other tasks within the laundry as required.
Requirements:

Must be physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and lift and carry heavy loads of laundry.
Previous experience working in a laundry environment or operating industrial machinery is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
Good time management skills and the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.
A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Reliability and punctuality are essential.

Shoft times 04:00PM till 0900PM 5 to 6 days per week. Please confirm youbare available to work this time. You will be putting linen through roller , which requires 2 people to put linen in and it comes back ironed , which then need to be folded. Confirm you understand this statement.
