Job Introduction
The Colonnades at the Signet Library are currently looking for a Commi Chef to the team. We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and motivated individual. You will join our small yet strong team who provides friendly yet professional service in a beautiful Georgian setting. Located in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, Colonnades at the Signet Library is the perfect place for 'Edinburgh's Finest Afternoon Tea'.
Main Responsibilities
Assisting the kitchen team with the daily preparation and mis-en-place for service
Supporting the kitchen team during busy periods on various sections.
Preparing the production of savoury and sweet items to a high standard
Assisting the kitchen team with unloading and putting away deliveries, emptying bins, and ensuring all equipment is clean and put away correctly.
The Ideal Candidate
Be organised and adaptable with the ability to support all aspects
Be motivated and excellent at working as part of a team with the ability to multitask and work to specific time frames agreed
Be able to follow recipes and specifications to ensure quality as standard as well as bringing new recipes and product development
Have a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate
