We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis to join our culinary team. As a Commis, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff in food preparation and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality. Duties
Assist in the preparation of ingredients and cooking of meals under the guidance of senior chefs.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Support in catering events by preparing and presenting dishes as required.
Help with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and cooking various food items.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality output.
Follow recipes and instructions accurately to ensure consistency in food preparation.
Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting shortages.
Skills
Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
Experience or interest in catering services is advantageous.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
