As a Commis Chef Apprentice, you will work in a professional kitchen under the supervision of experienced chefs. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals passionate about food and eager to start a culinary career. You'll gain hands-on experience while studying towards a nationally recognised Level 2 Commis Chef qualification.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using fresh ingredients
Assist in food preparation across all kitchen sections
Follow food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen
Support with stock rotation and inventory control
Learn to handle deliveries and manage invoices
Contribute to menu planning and daily specials
Work efficiently during busy service periods
Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams
