Duties

Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with food safety standards Support the team in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes efficiently Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality Contribute to maintaining stock levels and notifying management of supplies needed Assist with supervising junior staff or trainees as required Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance culinary skills

Skills

Proven experience in food production, kitchen work, or hospitality roles Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment Leadership qualities with experience supervising or managing team members preferred Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and restaurant operations Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous
