We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a desire to learn and grow within the hospitality industry. As a Commis, you will assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes, ensuring that all food safety standards are met while contributing to a positive kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals under the guidance of senior chefs.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety in accordance with regulations.
Support the team in managing kitchen operations efficiently.
Participate in food production and ensure timely service during peak hours.
Help with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to create innovative dishes and improve menu offerings.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and kitchen areas.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, showcasing your culinary skills.
Supervising experience or team management skills would be advantageous.
A background in food preparation, cooking, or food production is essential.
Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is required.
Experience within the hospitality or restaurant sector is highly desirable.
