We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis chef to join our team. As a Commis, you will work closely with senior chefs, contributing to the overall success of our kitchen operations while ensuring high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
Support the team in food production tasks, including chopping, mixing, and plating dishes.
Participate in inventory management and stock rotation to minimise waste.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods.
Follow recipes and presentation specifications as directed by senior chefs.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential, ideally within a restaurant setting.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
Experience in food preparation and cooking techniques is essential.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Culinary qualifications or training would be beneficial.
