Job Summary

We are seeking a commis chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our guests enjoy exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of ingredients and meal components, ensuring freshness and quality. Cook and assemble dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Follow food safety protocols and hygiene practices to ensure a safe cooking environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning tasks and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant setting is preferred. An understanding of food safety regulations and culinary techniques. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills in the kitchen. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
