Duties

Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all workstations are tidy and well-stocked. Follow food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times. Support senior chefs in food production tasks, including cooking, plating, and presentation. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food production techniques. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; a passion for hospitality is key. Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn from senior chefs. Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise junior staff when required. A commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

Pay: 12.21-13.01 per hour
