Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes under the guidance of senior kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Support the team in managing food production efficiently, including portion control and presentation. Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative input when appropriate. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during peak hours. Help supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Maintain stock levels and assist with inventory management, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and available for use.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, ideally within a restaurant setting. A background in food production and preparation is essential, along with knowledge of food safety practices. Demonstrated culinary experience or formal training in hospitality or culinary arts is advantageous. Strong leadership skills with an ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a positive working environment. Excellent communication skills to facilitate teamwork and collaboration within the kitchen. A passion for cooking and commitment to delivering exceptional dishes that meet high standards of quality.
