Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and production, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation. Duties

Assist in the preparation of ingredients and cooking of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Support senior chefs in food production tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking. Help supervise kitchen staff during service periods to ensure efficient workflow. Participate in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies. Collaborate with team members to create a positive and productive working atmosphere within the kitchen. Uphold the highest standards of hospitality and customer service in all interactions.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is advantageous but not essential; we welcome those eager to learn. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is preferred. Strong leadership qualities and the ability to manage a team effectively are beneficial. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to develop skills in food production are essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are crucial for success in this role.
