We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis to join our culinary team. As a Commis, you will assist in food preparation, maintain kitchen organisation, and support the team in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Support senior chefs in food production tasks, including cooking, plating, and presentation of dishes.
Help supervise kitchen operations during service periods to ensure smooth workflow.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals while maintaining high-quality standards.
Participate in inventory management, including stock rotation and reporting shortages to senior staff.
Engage in continuous learning to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a passion for cooking is key.
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
