Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Support senior kitchen staff in food production tasks, including cooking, plating, and presentation. Participate in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to the head chef. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service delivery. Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities within the culinary field.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not essential. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen setting. A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn from experienced chefs. Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating leadership qualities when necessary. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
