Commis Chef - The Pem Restaurant

Salary up to \xc2\xa329,336 (Basic salary: \xc2\xa312/hour plus an expected average annual service charge likely to be between \xc2\xa34,500 - \xc2\xa35,000) and on top of the salary overtime paid \xe2\x80\x93 based on a 39-hour week

The Pem is Sally Ab\xc3\xa9\xe2\x80\x99s Ayala Chef of the Year signature restaurant, dedicated to the pursuit of culinary excellence using the best of local British ingredients.

Sally says:

\xe2\x80\x98I\xe2\x80\x99ll be building on the foundations of historic British cuisine and celebrating flavours and ingredients that are familiar and much-loved, but interpreting them in my own way

\xe2\x80\x98I\xe2\x80\x99ll also be working with long-standing trusted suppliers when it comes to fresh produce, meat, and fish; people who I know attach the same importance to quality and sustainability as I do, and who support smaller producers and maintain traditional methods.

What will I be doing as a Commis Chef?

• Regular training\'s
• Ensure consistent great food production, in line with the high-quality standards expected by Hilton
• Perform tasks within a timely manner
• Provide support to the Kitchen brigade
• Prepare and present high-quality dishes within company guidelines
• Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination
• Prepare all mis-en-place for all relevant menus
• Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Apprentice Chef
• Positive attitude and good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Proven ability to work with a team and to follow instruction
• A passion to learn and a drive to succeed in a culinary/hospitality career
• A passion for food and the culinary arts
