We are proud to hold 2 AA Rosettes. We are a small, intimate restaurant with just 30 covers, making it a fantastic environment to learn, grow, and develop your skills.
We are looking for a
part-time commis chef
to join our friendly team and evolve within our company. We serve French small plates alongside a carefully curated selection of cheeses and charcuterie. All our dishes are made from scratch using seasonal produce and top-quality ingredients. Our menu changes frequently, with recipes created by our head chef, Matyas Plazak (who has a Michelin-starred background).
If you are passionate about noble products, terroirs, and creative food, and are reliable and eager to learn, you may be the person we are looking for!
Responsibilities
Maintain high standards on food quality, presentation and hygiene
Helping the chefs in the daily preparation, following their instructions
Follow the recipes, measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
During service, dealing with cold order: snacks, cheese and charcuterie
Ensure all food is presented for service in a timely manner.
The role requires:
A minimum of 6 months' experience in a restaurant (or a culinary school level)
A good knowledge in French cuisine is a plus
Passion for food and wine and quality products
An understanding of HACCP (Level 2 food safety is preferred)
A great attention to details
Must be a good team player
A good English
To be self-motivated person, with a positive "can do" attitude to all tasks
Must have the right to work in the UK
