We are a worm, welcoming, family - run restaurant in Chiswick, serving homemade italian food, We care about quality, consistency and creating a supportive kitchen enviroment where everyone feels like part of the team. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in food production and preparation, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role is perfect for individuals looking to advance their culinary skills in a dynamic restaurant environment, where teamwork and leadership are essential.

Duties

Support the kitchen team with food preparation and basic cooking task Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all food safety regulations are adhered to. Support the team in managing food production schedules and inventory levels. Follow direction from senior chef and assist with daily service Ensure all dishes are prepared to specification and presented beautifully for service. Assist with stock management, including receiving deliveries and rotating stock as necessary and end-of-day cleaning Contribute to menu development by providing feedback on dishes and suggesting improvements.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within an italian restaurant setting (preferred but not essential) Flexibility with shift, including weekends and evenings Proven skills in food preparation and cooking techniques. Ability to work in a small team and stay calm under pression Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team. A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
