40 Hours per week including some weekend and early evening hours, including all first team match days
Purpose
To assist in controlling the management of the kitchen operation in order to provide the appropriate Food Service to the satisfaction of the client, the customer and the company
Main Duties:
1. Your role will predominantly be kitchen base; however, you will be expected as required to work in other areas of the kitchen
2. To run the kitchen in the absence of the Sous Chef & Head Chef
3. To assist in making a continuous assessment of the performance of all staff under your supervision in order to establish training needs and development potential
4. To discuss assessment of staff with Sous Chef &/or Head chef.
5. To assist in ensuring training is carried out in the location to meet identified needs and requirements of the Company training policy.
6. To ensure that all subordinates are aware of their duties and the standards required.
7. To assist in ensuring that all kitchen staff are aware of their Health and Safety responsibility and receive the appropriate training.
8. To attend training sessions and catering meetings when required.
9. To attend to any other reasonable request made by the Client or Management.
10. To take responsibility for contributing towards your own development with the guidance of your manager
11. To take responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of the section/s as appropriate
12. To ensure that all food production duties are carried out in a timely fashion to ensure a smooth service.
13. To assist in ensuring food standards and costs are adhered to as agreed with the Sous Chef & Head Chef.
14. To assist in compiling all food orders for section/s under your supervision.
15. To assist in improving the standard of food preparation and presentation and to incorporate new technology as it becomes available.
16. To possess an up-to-date knowledge, awareness and interest in recent, current and future food and industry trends.
17. To be passionate about developing and producing new service styles and food concepts in the location.
18. To assist in ensuring all food storage areas are maintained in a clean and tidy condition in line with company policy and EHO requirements.
19. To assist ensuring cleaning areas under your control are maintained to a high standard in accordance with cleaning schedule.
20. Comply with all regulations regarding Health and Safety and Food Hygiene including specific Company procedures.
21. To gain an understanding and follow Company quality systems and procedures.
22. To assist in taking necessary steps to ensure the kitchen area complies with Food Hygiene Regulations and Health and Safety Act.
23. To assist in ensuring all equipment is maintained in good working order reporting any damage malfunctions to the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
24. To assist in ensuring the kitchen area is cleaned in accordance with cleaning schedules.
25. To assist in ensuring equipment and food temperature readings are taken and recorded on a daily basis.

Person Specification
Commi Chef or Chef de Partie Experience.
Background in Food Service /Kitchen Service
Prepared to Learn in a busy kitchen serving daily food and early evening service up to 7 days a week.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure
Demonstrate your analytical approach to problem solving.
Have the ability to display a real passion for food and customer service.
Experience in Food and Health and Safety systems
Microsoft Office Skills are ideal
