We are seeking an enthusiastic Commis to join our team, working in an award winning sea food restaurant, right on Fistral beach. As a Commis, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations, assisting in food production, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their culinary skills within a dynamic restaurant environment.

Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to recipes and standards set by the head chef.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment and workstations are kept to high hygiene standards.
Support senior kitchen staff in various tasks, including food plating and presentation.
Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen leadership.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage practices.
Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food production techniques.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods.
Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a passion for culinary arts is highly valued.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is advantageous.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills.
A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic hospitality setting.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if needed as required by the restaurant's operational needs.
