Zitto Italian Wine Bar is a recently taken over family run business.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining high quality and presentation.
Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during service periods.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the head chef.
Help maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring it is clean and functioning properly.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
Adaptability to changing menus and special dietary requirements.
Previous experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen setting is advantageous but not essential.
