We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled Commis Chefs to join our dynamic kitchen team. Key Responsibilities:
Follow the Head Chef's specifications for food preparation and service.
Ensure all food meets temperature and quality standards.
Adhere to HACCP guidelines for food safety.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of working areas.
Receive and check deliveries for quality and quantity.
Assist with food preparations and other kitchen tasks as instructed.
Manage refrigeration and dry goods storage to minimise waste.
Implement Health & Safety procedures and adhere to relevant legislation.
Supporting breakfast service and assisting in preparing lunches for staff.
Assisting with the preparation and service of banquets and lunch and working closely with the team to ensure smooth operations during events.
Requirements:
A strong passion for cooking and food.
NVQ Level 3 in Food Preparation or equivalent qualification preferred
Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate with team members.
Strong time management skills to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Knowledge of COSHH guidelines for safe handling of chemicals (training provided).
