We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our culinary team. Duties
Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes, adhering to food safety standards and culinary guidelines.
Support the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations, including cooking, plating, and presentation of meals.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages to the management team.
Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food production techniques.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours, demonstrating effective teamwork and communication.
Follow all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Requirements
Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role within a restaurant setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene regulations.
A passion for culinary arts with a willingness to learn from experienced chefs.
