Heaton House Farm is an award-winning venue on the Cheshire/Staffordshire border. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated Commis Chef to join Stableyard Catering, the North West's caterer of the year at The Wedding Industry Awards. The role is ideally full time and permanent.

We provide the highest quality catering for a variety of events both onsite and at external venues, delivered with exceptional detail, and with the highest level of customer service.

About the Role:

As a Banqueting Commis Chef, you will assist senior chefs in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-volume, high-quality dishes. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, professional environment that values teamwork, creativity, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and cooking of banqueting menus to the highest standard Maintain excellent hygiene and food safety standards Work efficiently during service to ensure smooth delivery of large-scale events Support senior chefs with mise en place and kitchen organisation Ensure stock is rotated and stored correctly Take pride in presentation and attention to detail

What We're Looking For:

Previous kitchen experience, ideally in a hotel, events, or banqueting environment A genuine passion for food and hospitality Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team A positive attitude, willingness to learn and grow Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (Level 2 Food Safety Certificate desirable)
