Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis to join our culinary team. As a Commis, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations, ensuring that food production runs smoothly and efficiently. Duties

Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes under the supervision of senior chefs. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Help with the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen and workstations. Participate in food production for various menu items, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods. Support in managing inventory, including monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed. Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating effective communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a passion for culinary arts is key. Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices. Strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs while also demonstrating leadership potential within the team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to foster effective collaboration with colleagues. A commitment to delivering high-quality dishes that meet restaurant standards.
