Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking various dishes while ensuring that food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help in the inventory management of kitchen supplies and report shortages as needed. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.

Skills

Strong culinary skills with experience in meal preparation and cooking techniques. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in food preparation. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene in the kitchen. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills, with a willingness to help colleagues as needed. A positive attitude towards learning new skills and adapting to changing menus or requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
