We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and production while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. Responsibilities

- Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes under the supervision of senior chefs.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to during food preparation and cooking processes.
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining an organised workspace, including cleaning and sanitising equipment and utensils.
- Help with the management of stock levels, ensuring ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours, demonstrating effective teamwork.
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
- Ability to work effectively within a team, demonstrating leadership qualities when required.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food production processes.
- Passion for culinary arts and eagerness to develop cooking skills further.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed within the restaurant's operational hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 11.44-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
