We're seeking a dedicated new chef to join our kitchen team; from an enthusiastic Commis chef keen to learn, though to a DCDP looking to take their next step with opportunity to learn among a small team.
Our ideal candidate will be keen to hone their skills throughout the kitchen, maintaining the high standards we have set since opening last year. Working closely alongside our head and sous chef, there is plenty of scope to learn and develop. This role is designed to be a good entry in to the industry either from scratch, or post studying, with more hours potentially available either in the kitchen or with some flexibility front of house.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes according our menu.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets our standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure safe handling, storage, and preparation of food items.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service flow.
Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Skills
Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members.
