The Role

We're looking for a

Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie

to join our kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef with a positive attitude who wants to learn, develop, and gain valuable experience in a high-end kitchen.

What you'll do:

Prepare a wide range of dishes and garnishes for our fine dining restaurant Work with modern kitchen equipment including induction hobs, water bath, planchas, and high-end ovens Learn and follow dishes to the standard set by the Head Chef Support the kitchen team in delivering consistent, high-quality plates Continuously develop your skills and cooking techniques with guidance from senior chefs
What We're Looking For

A positive attitude and strong desire to learn and progress Excellent knife skills and basic cooking knowledge Commitment to maintaining high standards in food preparation and hygiene Reliability and ability to work well as part of a team Previous experience in a professional kitchen is an advantage but not essential

Shifts:

Mostly straight shifts

Training & development:

Opportunities to complete NVQ training through Kendal College + ongoing in-house training

Live-in accommodation:

Available in staff cottage (50 per week, includes shared kitchen/lounge, freshly decorated before move-in)

Holiday:

28 days per year

Christmas off:

Hotel closes for Christmas so you can spend time with family
