Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Commis, you will play a vital role in supporting the culinary operations of our restaurant. This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in food preparation and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You will work closely with experienced chefs, contributing to the creation of exceptional dishes while adhering to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes under the guidance of senior chefs. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area. Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during service periods. Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes and presentation standards. Participate in inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies. Follow food safety regulations and practices to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Support senior chefs in supervising kitchen staff and training new team members as required.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment or culinary training is preferred but not essential. A strong interest in hospitality and culinary arts, with a willingness to learn and grow within the role. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. A proactive attitude towards helping others and contributing positively to the kitchen atmosphere.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.31-12.54 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
